SERVICES

American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) was established to own or operate electric facilities or manage the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power and energy to its Members.

While power supply remains its primary mission, AMP offers a wide variety of other services to help Member communities improve the quality of municipal utility services to their customers.

AMP provides these services on a cooperative, nonprofit basis for the mutual benefit of all Member communities. AMP also offers select services to non-members.

Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program

AMP offers the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program, a digital enablement platform, to Member utilities to help them collect detailed metering information throughout the utility's service area. AMP's AMI Program provides an advanced metering infrastructure solution built to meet the unique needs, objectives and complexities of municipal electric systems.

Through its wholly-owned taxable subsidiary, AMPO, Inc., American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) provides consulting services to both electric and natural gas aggregations. With its greater bargaining power, the buying group may be able to secure lower or more stable prices in today's competitive market.
