AMP and its Members are committed to managing resources wisely and sustainably while providing cost-competitive, reliable electric power for our Members’ customers.
OSHA Compliance
AMP's OSHA Compliance Program began in 2001. The contractual-based program expands on AMP's General Safety Program.
Mutual Aid
The Mutual Aid program is a network of municipal electric systems that stands ready to provide assistance to fellow municipal systems during emergencies that are too widespread to be handled by one system alone.
Generation
AMP's Generation Operations group provides the administration, management and oversight of AMP generation assets.
Circuit Rider
The Circuit Rider program offers AMP Member communities the services of an experienced, qualified field superintendent.
Technical Training Programs
AMP training programs are designed specifically for Member municipal electric systems seeking high-quality training designed to enhance safety and lead to greater system reliability and customer satisfaction.
Scholarships Program
Since 1988, AMP has distributed $528,000 in scholarship awards.
Safety Programs
AMP prioritizes safety with quarterly safety meetings as part of a year-round safety program available to Member employees. AMP’s OSHA Compliance Program is also available on a contractual basis.
Publications
AMP publishes a number of publications to inform Member communities and their customers about AMP operations, the practices and benefits of municipal electric systems and the electric industry in general.
Power Supply
AMP maintains a diverse portfolio of power supply resources to meet the needs of its Member systems. AMP's portfolio includes a combination of AMP and Member-owned generation with long-term contracts for power purchases as well as some seasonal and spot market purchases.
Legislative, Regulatory & Legal
AMP works closely with OMEA on monitoring legislative issues at the state and federal levels.
Key Accounts
AMP's Key Accounts Services Program provides Members with value-added services designed to develop and enhance relationship with their existing key account customers.
Hometown Connections
Hometown Connections, Inc. (HCI) is a non-profit utility services organization that offers public power utilities with guidance and access to quality products and services from a trusted entity with public power’s best interests in mind.

AMP provides financial educational forums and services to assist its Members through financing capital projects.

AMP offers its Members a variety of technical services to help them improve the quality of service they offer their customers.
Energy Control Center
The AMP Energy Control Center operates around the clock, 365 days a year and is the nerve center for AMP’s data monitoring and power supply acquisition efforts.
Efficiency Smart®
AMP offers energy efficiency and peak reduction services for AMP Members through its Efficiency Smart® program.
EcoSmart Choice®
AMP offers its EcoSmart Choice® green-pricing program, which allows customers of participating AMP Members to support renewable energy development.
Economic Development
AMP offers support to Member communities in attracting new businesses and retaining existing business relationships, such as with key accounts.

AMP provides a number of projects, programs and awards to aid Members in promoting the value of public power in their communities.
Community Energy Savings: Smart Thermostat Program
The subscription-based smart thermostat program aims to enable AMP Members to combat increasing transmission and capacity charges by reducing their system peak demands.
Annual Conference
The AMP Annual Conference provides an opportunity to learn from industry experts and network with peers. It attracts more than 350 elected officials, utility executives and staff from Member communities, as well as AMP staff, consultants and Municipal Electric Partners.

AMP Transmission, LLC (AMPT) was formed in 2018 to improve reliability and provide transmission service to AMP’s Members.
