COLUMBUS, OH: American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) is pleased to announce that Holly Karg joined AMP on Sept. 6, 2017 as director of media relations and communications. She will be responsible for developing AMP's communications strategies, directing internal and external publications and social media, serving as the principal spokesperson for AMP with media outlets and for developing, promoting and implementing opportunities to increase awareness about the benefits of public power.
Karg has more than 15 years of communications experience, specializing in communications strategies, media relations, community/stakeholder outreach programs and online content. Prior to AMP, she served as director of public affairs for the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and has held similar positions with the Buckeye Institute for Public Policy Solutions, King Strategic Communications and the Ohio State Bar Association. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from The Ohio State University.
