COLUMBUS, OH: American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) concluded another successful annual Technical Services Conference this week with dozens of participants from several member communities. The conference was held in Columbus April 23 and 24.
“The AMP Technical Services Conference continues to provide an opportunity for electric utility managers and staff to increase their technical capabilities, and learn about new products and industry trends,” said Marc Gerken, AMP president and CEO. “This year’s conference was again packed full of presentations by leading industry experts.”
The annual conference is designed for those who operate distribution systems including electric utility managers, superintendents and technical staff. Industry experts, municipal utility directors and AMP staff presented on a variety of topics, including safety, substation inspections, demand mitigation planning, cybersecurity and reliability. The conference also featured a Vendor Expo of services and interactive displays of products related to the utility industry.
