COLUMBUS, OH: American Municipal Power Inc. (AMP) is pleased to announce that Paul Beckhusen has joined AMP as senior vice president of power supply operations and energy marketing.
Beckhusen brings years of public power experience to AMP, having previously served as general manager to the Michigan South Central Power Agency and as director for the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities (CBPU). In addition, he served as a member of the AMP Board of Trustees from 2006 to 2019, and as a member of the American Public Power Association Board of Directors from 2011 to 2014. This extensive background provides him with an unmatched level of expertise in power supply planning.

In his new position, Beckhusen will oversee the planning, strategy development, negotiation and implementation of power supply, energy and fuel matters.
Beckhusen has worked in the public power sector since first joining the CBPU as electric operations manager in 2000. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Trine University.
