COLUMBUS, OH: American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP). is pleased to announce that Kellie Pertuset has joined AMP as Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Management.
Pertuset has more than 25 years of experience in human resources (HR) management, most recently serving as Head of Human Resources for Mettler-Toledo International, Inc., a multinational corporation that produces precision instruments and services. As Head of Human Resources, she led all aspects of HR for the organization’s production facilities and provided leadership in establishing and implementing local, national and global HR objectives, policies and plans. She served as a member of the organization’s senior leadership team and collaborated with the general managers and department leaders by providing leadership and consulting support on matters of goal setting, policy development and support in linking business and tactical strategies.

In this role, Pertuset will report to Thompson and will lead and provide strategic direction to the Human Resources Department. This will include talent management, training, recruiting, compliance, payroll, benefits, budgeting and labor relations. She will join AMP’s Executive Management Team and work to strengthen employee engagement and drive an inclusive culture.
Beth Trombold, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs, previously oversaw AMP’s talent management and public affairs. With Pertuset joining the organization, she will take responsibility for talent management so that Trombold can shift her focus toward AMP’s communications and advocacy efforts. Trombold has almost three decades of government advocacy, policy and public affairs experience in the utility industry, including having served as a two-term commissioner of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.
Pertuset holds a Bachelor of Science in health services administration and a Master of Business Administration from Franklin University. She holds certifications from the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
